About me

«I am Alba Mesa, an analog photographer from the Canary Islands. My work revolves around capturing the everyday, what I like to call «people doing things». Through my lens, I focus on those fleeting moments that often go unnoticed in the flow of daily life.

I shoot spontaneously, often up close and «by surprise», which allows me to capture a sense of natural vulnerability. My aim is to photograph that brief instant when the subject, immersed in their routine, is unaware of the camera—creating an honest connection with the moment.

I’ve had the privilege of working in different cities and environments, observing and photographing daily life from an external perspective. My approach offers a fresh outlook on spaces and people, encouraging reflection on what we typically overlook or take for granted.

I avoid grand gestures in my photography, instead focusing on the beauty in simplicity. Through my work, I seek to honor the ordinary and invite others to see the world around them in a new light».
